Services in Russia
AWL continues to focus on the Russian market. As the Russian economy looks very promising for the coming year, we continue to invest in building strong relationships with our Russian partners, creating a position in which we are ready for the trend of Russian companies continuing to grow and European companies intending to expand their production facilities in Russia. We are now in a position to provide full-service coverage for the Russian market.
AWL is known for its turnkey delivery. This means that we not only produce state-of-the-art welding machines, but we also produce the fixtures. And at our facilities we arrange a happy marriage between the machine and the fixture(s). With the customer’s own product parts we bring the machine to the right quality output, resulting in reduced time in erecting the machine and commissioning on your premises. Our service programme becomes available once the machine is up and running.
AWL offers three levels of service:
1. Maintenance:
By carrying out preventive maintenance at regular intervals, the lifespan of your machine is extended while maintenance costs are kept to a minimum. At the same time, incidental breakdowns can be avoided, resulting in uninterrupted productivity. Our Russian partners have the experience and are trained to service automated welding machines.
2. Remote diagnostics:
This guarantees excellent levels of support in the event of a breakdown. It provides a direct link with the machine and essential breakdown information, resulting in fast problem diagnosis and efficient solutions.
3. Repair:
Having to replace machine parts is unavoidable. AWL includes a Spare Parts list with each specific machine, enabling you to resume production quickly. AWL only works with the best suppliers, like ABB, providing you the service you require.
Strategic global partnership with ABB
AWL has a long-term partnership with ABB. This partnership offers AWL the opportunity to grow and expand, also in new and upcoming markets like Russia, thanks to ABB’s robotic technology and expertise. In providing automated systems for metal fabrication applications, AWL has so far sold over 600 ABB robots for various automation projects, with more orders on the way.
“Working with ABB has always given us the reassurance that we can provide reliable technology that integrates well with the other components we use within our solutions. Our customers love ABB robots and, whilst we always offer our clients a choice, 90 percent of the robots we sell are from ABB”, says Brand van ‘t Hof, AWL’s Technical Director.
Haayo Terpstra, Business Development Manager for ABB’s Robotics Division in the Benelux, comments, “AWL has always been a valued ABB partner and it’s great to work with a company not only integrating our technology, but helping to develop new technology for the industry.
The ABB’s strategic Global Partner Program has the following characteristics:
1. AWL is the Beta-tester for new ABB developments;
2. AWL builds software blocks to integrate robotics;
3. AWL benefits from the tools and information provided by ABB in order to succeed in an expanding market;
4. Local technical and service support in a Global Partnership Program.
Reasons for success
AWL’s success comes from its ability to reassure customers. AWL not only delivers world-class, quality machinery, it also guarantees reliable quality product output. Furthermore, AWL is responsible for the whole project until the machine is up and running at the local production site. By offering broad technical support on a local level, and by integrating language-independent intuitive HMI in the machines, AWL has shown itself to be a strong partner in Russia, and it has the references to prove it, both in the automotive market and in general metal industries.
