AWL demonstrates laser welding at Laser World of Photonics

AWL-Techniek will be present at the Laser World of Photonics, which will be held in Munich from May 23rd – 26th 2011. Our stand can be found in Hall 2, stand number 460.

LASER World of PHOTONICS is the most important marketplace and the most constructive think tank for the global laser and photonics industry. It features more than 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and gives you a complete overview of all the latest trends and applications.

At AWL’s stand the focus will of course be on macro laser welding, as it is a versatile process which can be used to weld a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, nickel alloys and plastics. Lasers are often used in high-volume production applications as they have high welding speeds and a level of automation that allows 24/7 operation.

We will give a demonstration of the AWL beam switch concept, where two robots share one laser source, thereby optimizing laser utilization. In addition we also have information on laser welding with a remote welding system or with the remote scan optics with robots. Our experienced staff will be happy to talk to you about defining your best possible solutions.

Visiting the AWL stand will give you a better understanding of the possibilities in laser welding and the configuration issues that need to be taken into account.
