Our 3rd generation software – for excellent machine control
When we developed the 3rd generation software we had one thing in mind; How can we enhance the optimal performance of our automated welding machine, taking all the safety issues in consideration? In other words, let the up-time of you machine be our worry!
And we succeeded. In more ways than one.
Stability and reliability
For the 3rd generation software we developed a library of standard software building blocks for every (sub) module in the automated welding machine. This makes it possible to re-use “experienced” software blocks which already have proven themselves. This results in a tremendous reduction of software bugs.
Safety
The 3rd generation software is developed according to the new Machinery Directive. Therefore it holds an extensive diagnose for the safety components on the machine HMI, ensuring a proper functioning of all safety components and easy troubleshooting.
Speed
The 3rd generation software ensures that software-objects, which are critical for the current operation, are given the highest priority in the program, thus speeding up the machine.
The chosen hardware platform is perfectly balanced for the demanded tasks.
Flexibility
Due to the use of library building blocks it is possible to change different parts of the program faster and easier than ever. For instance jig exchange and even changing your machine configuration!
Intuitive interface and directive instructions
Our 3rd generation human machine interface (HMI) is an intuitive icon driven interface where operators can easy set the program or get warnings and directive signals for the actions to be taken. Every sensor is provided with message-diagnosis. So, in case of a broken sensor, the HMI will tell you what is going on. You don’t need to look in de PLC program.
For the operators there is a smart loading assistant which indicated the loading/unloading status with different colors. The operator knows what is going on in one glance. If a problem has occurred and there is a need to solve it in manual mode the status of actuators and sensors are shown and diagnosed in an easy manner. Afterwards it is possible to safely proceed production in automatic mode immediately. It is not necessary to reset the machine.
Remote maintenance
Even though we deliver our customers with the finest en most reliable software there is always a possibility that assistance of our Service Department is required. With the 3rd generation software we are able to go “online” with your machine. Since more and more hardware components such as PLC’s, drives, robots and welding controllers are connected with each other via Ethernet, they are all reachable via the VPN connection. This takes remote maintenance beyond the PLC! It is even possible to ‘take over’ your HMI panel to interact smoothly and in real-time with your operators.
Our remote maintenance is based on an SSL encrypted VPN connection via internet with which your network security is well taken care of. We work side by side with your system administrators to get the best network safety solutions.
