Since 2002, AWL is actively involved in the development of various laser welding machines. During this period we always kept focus on high speed, flexibility, reliability and economics. In 2009 our new unique laser welding concept was launched, which is based on the following characteristics:

AWL has developed multiple laser welding solutions, using a turn-table concept or a sliding concept. In this article we like to focus on the sliding concept, as this is the most innovate concept of them all.
Modularity

One of the most important features of the sliding concept is the modularity, allowing you to decide which features you wish to integrate in your configuration. The modules are available in different sizes and configurations. By combining an operating module, a welding module, an air flow module and handling modules, the possibilities are endless. The sliding concept offers excellent ergonomics possibilities for loading and unloading. It also enables a more automated logistic flow of your production, resulting in considerable cost savings.
Flexibility
By using rotating fixtures combined with robotized welding we can offer you full 3D weld reach ability. Furthermore the exchangeable jigs and multiple positions will give you the opportunity to weld multiple kind of products in the same machine. The work envelop is scalable up to 2500 x 1500 x 1500 mm.
Stable and reliable
Due to our years of experience in laser welding machines we can provide you with a very stable and reliable system. In the AWL laser welding concepts all latest safety concepts are integrated.
Significant efforts have been made perfecting the air flow management within the machine; resulting in a safe and hazardous free environment for the operator, the machine and the process.
Speed is everything
Critical for the welding process is speed. Within the sliding concept the laser switches between the robots, therefore you don’t lose valuable welding time. We guarantee a beam switch time of less than 0,09 sec. which results in an extreme high laser 'up-time'!
Easy implementation
With the AWL laser concepts, implementing laser welding in your production process is relatively easy. In contrary to other laser machines in the market, AWL has developed a laser welding machine which doesn't requires any additional operating and programming skills.
